Dougie Mackie is one of the most trusted freelancers in the business. He began his career as a Radio Announcer, working full-time from the age of 17 on a popular Night-show in New Zealand. In 2004 he relocated to London where he studied film production, working professionally as a freelance lighting camera operator from 2007.

Over recent years, Dougie has solidified his reputation and confirmed the breadth of his talents with the expansion of roles as a producer and director. In 2014 he directed, shot and edited a feature-length documentary for the west end musical "Miss Saigon". The following year he was single-handedly responsible for capturing all documentary narratives for Michael Bublé's feature film "Tour Stop 148", which was subsequently released in cinemas worldwide.

Honed on a global scale, it is this commercial expertise and artistic proficiency that Dougie brings to the Australasian market and his clients. Whether you are looking for a director, lighting camera operator or video editor, Dougie can tailor his services and aesthetic to suit your specific needs and projects.
